Photographers fall through, plans change, and some weddings are simply arranged quickly. If your date is close, send it now: Mikayla replies to availability enquiries by email as soon as she sees them, and a short-notice booking gets exactly the same photography as one made a year ahead.

What to send

Three things, and you will have an answer

The date, the venue or register office, and roughly the hours you want covered. That is enough for Mikayla to confirm whether she is free and give you a figure. If the date works, booking is agreed by email and the details are sorted in a call if it helps.

Because pricing is by the hour, a wedding arranged in a few weeks can be covered exactly as it needs to be, whether that is a two-hour ceremony or the whole day.

Preparation, even at short notice

Early on the day, so nothing is improvised

Mikayla arrives early and, where the venue allows, photographs it before the day gets going, working out where the light will be good and where the strongest pictures are likely to be. That happens whether the booking was made last year or last week.

Midweek dates and shorter bookings are the easiest to fit in at short notice. Summer Saturdays are the hardest, but it is always worth asking.

  • How quickly will you reply?

    By email, as soon as Mikayla sees the enquiry. Put the date in the subject or the first line so it can be checked straight away.

  • Do you charge more for short notice?

    No. Coverage is priced by the hour from £80 per hour whenever it is booked.

  • Our photographer has cancelled. Can you step in?

    If the date is free, yes. Send the timings you had already agreed and Mikayla will match the coverage as closely as she can.

  • Which areas can you reach at short notice?

    Buckinghamshire and the Home Counties from High Wycombe. Anywhere further is possible if the date is free; travel is confirmed in writing before you book.
