Wedding photography in Buckinghamshire
Mikayla is a Buckinghamshire wedding photographer based in High Wycombe. Most of Buckinghamshire is under an hour away, which means she can walk your venue before the day and arrive early on it without the travel becoming part of the story.

The approach
Natural photographs for most of the day, direction only where it helps
Buckinghamshire weddings tend to happen outdoors and in old buildings: gardens, woodland, barns, register offices and village churches. Mikayla photographs them by stepping back and letting the day happen, from wherever the picture actually is.
She does give direction when it improves the result. A few quiet words early on so you know what to do with your hands, family and friend groups organised in minutes rather than the best part of an hour, and the occasional composition that needs you to stand in a particular place for the light. Then she steps back again.

Coverage
Full days, shorter days and everything between
Pricing is by the hour from £80 per hour, with discounts as the session gets longer, so full-day coverage works out at a lower hourly rate than a short booking. There are no packages to decode.
That covers the whole range of Buckinghamshire weddings: a full day from getting ready to the dance floor, a shorter booking around a civil ceremony at Beaconsfield, Aylesbury or Milton Keynes register office, or an elopement with a handful of guests in the Chilterns.

Afterwards
Previews first, then the full edit within a couple of weeks
A set of preview images is sent soon after the wedding. The full edit usually takes one to two weeks and is delivered as a digital folder and on a custom USB drive. Colour or black and white is decided picture by picture, on what each one needs, and nothing is filtered or re-edited for the web.

Alea and Maciek, an August wedding
A full summer day: two mornings of getting ready, a garden ceremony, confetti in bright sun, a long veil, and an evening that carried on well after the light went.

Questions
Common questions
Which parts of Buckinghamshire do you cover?
All of it. Mikayla is based in High Wycombe, so High Wycombe, Marlow, Beaconsfield, Amersham, Chesham, Princes Risborough, Aylesbury, Buckingham and Milton Keynes are all close, and the rest of the Home Counties are within easy reach.
Do you photograph register office weddings in Buckinghamshire?
Yes. Civil ceremonies at Beaconsfield, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes register offices are welcome, and shorter coverage suits them well. See the registry office wedding photography page for how those days are handled.
How far ahead should we book?
Popular summer Saturdays go first, so the earlier the better, but shorter and midweek bookings can often be made at closer notice. Send the date and Mikayla will confirm straight away whether it is free.
What does a Buckinghamshire wedding photographer cost?
From £80 per hour, with discounts for longer sessions. The investment page explains how the hourly pricing works and the enquiry form is the quickest way to get a figure for your day.
