This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It is deliberately short because the site collects very little.
The enquiry form
When you send an enquiry, the details you enter (your names, email address, optional phone number, date, venue, the coverage you are interested in, how you found the site and your message) are emailed to Mikayla at Kayla@mikayladierdrephotography.co.uk and a copy is stored privately within this website so that nothing is lost if an email goes astray. A copy is also emailed to you.
These details are used only to reply to you and, if you go on to book, to plan and deliver your photography. They are not added to any mailing list, shared with third parties for marketing, or sold. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time by emailing the address above.
Cookies and analytics
When you first arrive you are asked whether to allow analytics. Nothing is stored on your device and no analytics run until you choose, and if you decline, nothing is stored at all beyond the record of that choice, which is kept in your browser rather than in a cookie.
If you accept, two services are used. Google Analytics 4 counts visits and shows which pages people read, using cookies that expire after a limited period. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised information about how pages are used, such as where people scroll and click, to show which parts of the site are working. Neither is used for advertising, and no data is sold or shared for marketing.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings, which removes the stored choice and brings the question back.
The only other cookies you may encounter are the technical ones WordPress uses to keep an administrator logged in, which are not set for ordinary visitors.
Photographs
The photographs on this site are of real weddings. If you appear in a photograph and would prefer it were not shown, email Kayla@mikayladierdrephotography.co.uk and it will be taken down.
Hosting and security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry emails are sent by the web host’s mail system. Server logs may record your IP address for security and are kept only as long as the host needs them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how it has been handled. Requests can be sent to Kayla@mikayladierdrephotography.co.uk.
