The shape of the day

A complete set of photographs without a full-day package

Registry office weddings do not need to become a smaller version of a full-day wedding package. You might want arrivals, the ceremony itself, family photographs outside and then a short session together afterwards. That can give you a complete set of photographs without paying for hours you do not need.

My photography starts from £80 per hour, which makes shorter civil ceremony coverage straightforward.

During the ceremony, where I can stand and what I can photograph is ultimately decided by the registrar on the day. I work around those instructions rather than treating the ceremony like a photoshoot.

Afterwards

Where the energy changes

The moments immediately afterwards are often where the energy changes. People relax, congratulations happen quickly, families gather and there is usually a much more natural feel once the formal part is over.

That is also when I can organise any group photographs you want. I am happy to be direct with groups because it is much easier when somebody takes control, especially if there are several combinations to get through.

For photographs of the two of you, I prefer to keep things more natural. I can give you a starting point and make sure the light and background are working, then let the interaction take over rather than building a long list of poses.

How much to book

It depends on what happens around the ceremony

If the registration office is the main event and you want some photographs afterwards, a few hours may be plenty. If it is the beginning of a larger celebration somewhere else, we can build the coverage around that instead.

Send me the ceremony time and what you are planning afterwards and I can give you a sensible recommendation. I would rather tell you that a few hours are enough than sell you a full day you do not need.

The official name is Beaconsfield Old Town Registration Office, although plenty of people search for Beaconsfield Registry Office or Beaconsfield Register Office. Whichever name brought you here, the important thing is that the photography fits the ceremony you are actually planning.
