Elopements
Elopement and small wedding photography
An elopement or a wedding for a handful of people is still a wedding, and Mikayla photographs it as one. Two of you in the woods, ten of you at a register office, twenty at a house: the same care, priced by the hour so a small day costs what a small day should.

Why small weddings photograph well
Fewer people, more of the day
With no timetable to run and no groups to organise, a small wedding leaves time for the photographs most couples never get: a proper walk, the light changing, nobody waiting. Mikayla keeps her distance and photographs what happens, stepping in only to suggest a place worth a minute of your time.
A woodland wedding for a handful of guests is one of the full wedding stories on this site, from the ceremony to the walk afterwards, so you can see exactly how a day like this is covered.

Coverage
Two hours or the whole day
Elopements are booked by the hour from £80 per hour. A ceremony and a walk might be two or three hours; a small wedding with a meal afterwards might be six. Discounts apply as the session gets longer, and there is no package you have to grow into.
Based in High Wycombe, Mikayla covers the Chilterns, the Thames and the rest of Buckinghamshire easily, and the neighbouring counties with a short drive.

A short civil ceremony with close family, then an afternoon walking along the water and into the trees while the light was still low and warm.

Questions
Common questions
Do you photograph elopements with just the two of us?
Yes. Two people, a registrar and a photographer is a perfectly good wedding, and often the most relaxed kind to photograph.
Where do elopements in Buckinghamshire happen?
Register offices at Beaconsfield, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes, licensed venues, and then wherever you want to walk afterwards: the Chilterns, the Thames at Marlow, woodland and parkland across the county.
Is there a minimum booking?
No minimum package. Coverage is priced from £80 per hour for the hours you actually need.
Can you help us plan a small wedding day?
Mikayla will suggest timings for the light and places worth photographing near your ceremony, and can help you think through the shape of the day. Planning the wedding itself stays with you.
