A woodland wedding for a handful of guests
A short civil ceremony with close family, then an afternoon walking along the water and into the trees while the light was still low and warm.
A small ceremony room, a few guests, and no aisle to speak of. Short and quiet.
Then outside, where the afternoon belonged to the two of them. A walk along the water, a set of steps between two yew trees, and low sun coming through bare branches.
A turn on the path with the sun behind them. What they did with it was their own.
